Mohd Islam is a Senior Research Associate at The Map Lab. He holds an MSc in Climate Science and Policy from TERI University and has over eight years of experience across industry and research institutes. He specialises in GIS and remote sensing for ecological and water resource assessments, with a focus on climate change and sustainable landscape management. His research interests include integrating GIS, remote sensing, and ecohydrology to study landscape ecology, forest carbon mapping, rural–urban transformation, prey–predator coexistence, and glaciohydrology.
